I’ve always been a fan of regency romance novels. As long as there’s a “royalty” in the title, I surely can’t pass it up. This is the first book I’ve read from Rose Gordon. I like how she builds the characters, including their flaws and weaknesses. I like her writing style, although there are parts that are unnecessary which makes the story longer. Overall, I think I’d be open to read more of Rose Gordon’s books.
I like how the author created flawed characters with the “happy ever after” they both deserved. The plot is well-developed along with the twists and turns that keeps it connected with the other books in this series. As a regency romance fan, a story created with creativity and research is a must because building a world with lords and ladies is never easy. This doesn’t disappoint. Highly recommended!
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
**I received this book in exchange for an honest review by (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal). **
First off, I really liked how the author decided to make a difference when it comes to this books’ genre. It is a cross between historical romance and paranormal, which I find uncommon and more interesting to read. Every garment, event and manor are exquisitely described making your imagination foresee the actual scenario throughout the story. There are some instances that I feel there is too much description of unnecessary things, to the point where we lose focus on the story and the characters themselves. I actually scan through some of the descriptions just to get back to the story.
I would recommend this to supernatural/paranormal fans, who want something different from common vampire story lines.
